Link to Jen’s Celebration of Life Service

Hi everyone.  It’s Jamie again.  It’s hard to believe our friend has been gone for a little over 3 weeks.  I miss her every single day.  So many of you were able to attend her service, and it was wonderful to see your faces and hear your words of encouragement.  On behalf of Jen’s family and close friends, thank you so much for being there.  For those who were unable to attend, we equally appreciated your texts and prayers during that time.  The Lord has been so faithful in providing encouragement and strength through all of you, and we feel loved and comforted by your words, cards, texts, calls, flowers, food, etc.

Many of you have asked if there was a way to access the service that was recorded.  Please click here to see the full Celebration of Life of Jennifer Lewis Clouse (minus the music due to copyright issues, which is SUCH A SHAME because the music was unbelievably moving – thank you musicians!!).

Please continue to pray for Scott, Lincoln, Jane and the rest of those close to Jen.  Jen’s 97 year old grandmother Vonie passed away 9 days after Jen (8/18), so needless to say the family is brokenhearted.  Two funerals within 2 weeks is a lot to take in.  Thankfully, the Lord reminds us that He is near to those who have a broken heart (Psalm 34:18).

Some good news to share, however, is that Lincoln started kindergarten and seems to be adjusting well to his new routine.

If that doesn’t make you feel better, I don’t know what will.

Thank you for loving the Clouse’s so very well.  May that love be returned to you tenfold.

Attached here is the beautiful program from her service (thank you, Alyssa Reeves!):  Clouse_programFA2

  2. Jamie, this post was so welcomed. I continue to pray for Scott and Lincoln and miss reading Jen’s blogs every day! Thanks again and God Bless!

  3. You know what brought me to tears? Seeing the photo of the two bonus moms in the reflection of the window of that first day of school picture! Because how amazingly great is it that Lincoln isn’t without mamas who will love on him in Jen’s absence! I’m sure that is helping Lincoln and his dad get through such a rough season.

  4. Thank you for the update Jamie. The service was beautiful. My sweet mom passed away the week after Jennifer and I wrote to Scott in a card that I hope she and Jennifer become fast friends in heaven. My mom never met Jennifer but prayed for her every day for 4 years.

Thank you also for the precious pictures of Lincoln. So nice to see such a sweet picture if Scott and him.

Hugs to all of you. I know every day is hard.

  5. Thank you for posting this! I watched Jen’s service and cried. I don’t know any of you, but I know Jesus, and so I grieve with all of you, over the loss of this amazing sister, and I rejoice with you, that Jen is in heaven, with our Great God and Savior. I have been following Jen’s journey for many years, and prayed for her so many times. I shift my prayers now, to all of you who were near and dear to Jen, most especially, Scott, Lincoln and Jane. And how cute is the big kindergartener?!

  6. Dearest Jaime, Scott and Lincoln, tonight’s photos hit the hardest. But they are beautiful. L looks like his Mamma. What a tribute! You continue in our evening prayers where last week my 6 yr old said he is sure Jesus is walking in the garden with Jenny. Enough said. Children really are closest to Jesus. God bless, Lucy

  7. Thank you for the post, Jamie. I’ve continued to pray for all of you especially Scott, Lincoln, and Jane everyday. I was thinking about Lincoln on his first day of school so it’s a true blessing to see the photos and hear that he is doing well.

  8. so appreciate the pictures and the link to the program. i like having those and sticking them in my Bible. thanks for all your updates as well. what a great witness to everyone how people around you are the feet and hands of Christ.

  9. To all Jens Earth Angels, I am so happy you had the good fortune to have Jen in you life, and so sorry it wasn’t as long as it should have been. I never knew her ( only came to know her because of Melanie) yet she touched me in ways people I have known for years have not. I know I am not the only one. As difficult as the lose is at least she has given you the tools to cope and help Lincoln through the years. Jamie, please take care of your self you have served your friend well, clearly with love, compassion and a bit of humor- a true inspiration. Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone, continuing to share Jens story when she no longer could. I have been where you all are now, and I am ver sorry you have to make this journey but glad Jen gave you the tools to succeed. Ann

  10. Jamie, Thank you for so much, but these latest pictures of Lincoln in kindergarten may my heart glow. Love to all — Scott, Lincoln, Jane and all that knew and loved Jen! (now that’s a huge list!!)

... Those are my thoughts. Now, I'd love to read yours...
